After five years away from the company in any capacity at all, CM Punk sparked the working relationship with WWE again last night after he appeared on WWE Backstage.

The Voice of the Voiceless made a grand entrance at the end of the show and revelaed that he will appear in full next week.

“Just when they think they know all the answers, I change the culture. I’ll see you all next week!”

Take a look at the video below of his surprise return:

The former five-time world champion will be a periodical guest on the show moving forward, FOX revealed.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that Punk will certainly wrestle again. Technically, he is being employed by FOX.

However, just like when 2K worked with Goldberg and Kurt Angle and they ended up making wrestling returns to the company, Punk wouldn’t have got this gig with FOX without WWE giving the green light.

A betting man would certainly say that Punk has certainly not had his last wrestling match and the call-outs for him to get back in the squared circle will be stronger than ever.

At 41-years-old and now a few years removed from his last MMA fight, the timing seems perfect for The Best in the World to return.

CM Punk has not had the best of UFC careers

Punk left WWE in 2014 slap bang in the middle of WrestleMania season feeling burned out. He would go on and sign with UFC later that year.

In four years he managed two fights in the UFC and he would lose both of them. He has been commentating on MMA since his UFC deal expired in 2018.
